The August 21, 2025 Continuing Professional Development Seminar, titled “Economic/PNPs – Part One” is presented by the Immigration Practitioner Centre (IPC) at Ashton College and delivered through AshtonLive.

Virginia Melo 

RCIC

Alberta Provincial Nominee Program – Overview, Updates, and Trends

Virginia Melo is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC), fully licensed to practice both at the federal level and in the province of Quebec.

Since 2017, she has proudly supported individuals and families in navigating the Canadian immigration system and turning their dreams into reality.

Originally from Brazil, Virginia has called Canada home since 2009. As an immigrant herself, she brings both professional expertise and personal insight into the journey—its challenges, hopes, and opportunities. Her goal is to provide practical, empathetic, and reliable guidance every step of the way.

Virginia holds a bachelor's degree in Tourism and an MBA in Human Resources from PUC-Rio. She is passionate about helping people and organizations find their place in Canada. 

Alexandra Callinan

Permanent Resident Portals (Economic) – Overview, Updates, and Trends 

Alexandra Callinan has been a lawyer since 2019. Prior to attending law school, she worked at the Operations Support Centre and the Case Management Branch at the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) national headquarters in Ottawa.

Currently, Alexandra is an Associate at Mamann Sandaluk & Kingwell LLP, where her practice primarily focuses on corporate immigration matters.

Alexandra's dedication to her clients, her practice, and her role as an educator are inspired by her years of experience working at the IRCC, as well as her own family's journey as immigrants and refugees coming to Canada. 

Marina V. Snyder

Quebec Immigration Programs – Overview and Updates

Marina Vespoli Snyder is a seasoned Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC-IRB) with over six years of experience since becoming licensed in 2017. She holds additional licences to practice in Quebec (QC) and Saskatchewan (SK).

Her expertise spans several key areas, including economic immigration, temporary residence, family reunification, Labour Market Impact Assessments (LMIAs), and citizenship applications.

With a strong foundation in Business Administration and International Commerce, Marina has a particular interest in business immigration.
