The February 19, 2026 Immigration Practitioner Centre Continuing Professional Development Seminar’s Event Title is ‘Applications and All Things Immigration: Temporary and Permanent ’.

This seminar is one of the most comprehensive sessions in the 2026 series, focusing on application forms and application packages while providing a broad overview of key immigration topics. Covered areas include Temporary Resident Visas, Study Permits, Work Permits, Labour Market Impact Assessments, Express Entry, Provincial Nominee Programs, Pilot Programs, Family Class, Humanitarian and Compassionate applications, Citizenship, and Business Immigration.

The seminar features four presenters who deliver both instructional and panel-based discussions:

  • Howard Greenberg, Lawyer; Naumaan Hameed, Lawyer; and Pushkar Prehar, Lawyer

The panel presenters lead three focused discussions:

Alexandra Callinan

Alexandra Callinan has been a lawyer since 2019. Prior to attending law school, she worked at the Operations Support Centre and the Case Management Branch at the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship (IRCC) national headquarters in Ottawa. Currently, Alexandra is an Associate at Mamann Sandaluk & Kingwell LLP, where her practice primarily focuses on corporate immigration matters.

Alexandra's dedication to her clients, her practice, and her role as an educator are inspired by her years of experience working at the IRCC, as well as her own family's journey as immigrants and refugees coming to Canada. 

Howard Greenberg

Howard Greenberg, in collaboration with Naumaan Hameed, established Greenberg Hameed PC—a firm that introduces an innovative approach to immigration services. Howard specializes in providing strategic advice on immigration law to multinational corporations, drawing upon his extensive 30 years of experience in facilitating the entry of foreign workers into Canada.

Howard has been a featured speaker at various prominent legal events, including the International Bar Association Conference, the Canadian Employment Relocation Council Conference, the Law Society of Upper Canada Annual Immigration Law Summit, the Canadian Bar Association National Citizenship & Immigration Conference, Insight, the Canadian Institute, and the Engineering Human Resources Association.

In addition to his legal practice, Howard previously served as a part-time lecturer on Corporate Immigration Advocacy at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law. 

Naumaan Hameed

Naumaan Hameed brings over two decades of expertise as a Certified Specialist in Immigration Law.

With a history of leading two of Canada’s largest national immigration law practices, Naumaan is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and holds licences in both Canada and the United States.

He leads a full-service immigration firm, specializing in high volume work permit processing for multinational companies and immigration services for entrepreneurs and start-ups. Beyond his legal practice, Naumaan actively engages in shaping immigration policy recommendations, collaborating with senior stakeholders in Ottawa.

As a Board member of TalentLift Canada, Naumaan passionately fosters connections between employers and global talent. His influence extends to lecturing at esteemed institutions like Osgoode Hall Law School, the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law, and MIT, solidifying his pivotal role as a key influencer in the realm of Canadian immigration.  

Pushkar Prehar

Pushkar Prehar is an associate Lawyer at Greenberg Hameed PC a distinguished immigration law firm. He is a dual qualified lawyer licensed to practice Law in India and Canada (ON).  

He has been involved in complex litigations before the Federal Court challenging visa refusals of various categories including temporary & permanent resident visas, Start Up Business Class, family class sponsorships, inadmissibility (medical, criminal, among others)

Pushkar specialises in high risk, prior refused cases. He is actively involved in challenging the use of Artificial intelligence and the procedural fairness issues that are involved with the same.

Pushkar brings diversity and inclusion in practicing law. Being an immigrant, he is live to the issues being faced by newcomers and advanced submissions before the Immigration Refugees Citizenship Canada and the Federal Court.

He is a member-at-large of the Canadian Bar Association (National Immigration Section)
