The July 9, 2026 Immigration Practitioner Centre Continuing Professional Development Seminar’s Event Title is ‘Student Processing Issues and Solutions’.

This seminar provides an overview and updates on key processing issues affecting international students, with a focus on Study Permit compliance, eligibility requirements, and practical solutions for addressing complex student-related matters.

The July 9, 2026 seminar features Patricia Raimundo, RCIC, who provides practical guidance on the following topics:

  • Student Processing Issues and Their Impact on Study Permit Compliance and Co-op/Post-Graduation Work Permit Eligibility
  • Legal Framework and Program Delivery Instructions (PDIs), Leaves of Absence, and Addressing Hardships Related to War and Financial Circumstances

Each presentation concludes with a dedicated Question-and-Answer session.

This seminar provides Immigration Practitioners with essential guidance on the evolving challenges affecting international students, including initial Study Permit applications, Study Permit extensions, work authorization during studies, and eligibility for post-graduation opportunities. The session also examines the impact of student quotas and extended processing time frames on international student processing.

Patricia Raimundo

Student Processing Issues and Their Impact on Study Permit Compliance and CO-OP/PGWP Eligibility

Patricia Raimundo is a Regulated International Student Immigration Advisor (RISIA) with over five years of experience helping international students navigate both academic and immigration pathways.
She began her career in 2020 at an immigration consultancy and joined a respected school in Toronto in 2021, where she discovered her passion for supporting students and institutions alike. Since obtaining her RISIA license in 2023, Patricia has expanded her expertise with the University of Niagara Falls Canada, developing practical strategies to guide students toward success.
