The March 5, 2026 Immigration Practitioner Centre Continuing Professional Development Seminar’s event title is 'Access to Information Requests, Temporary Resident Processing, Study Permits, Co-Op and Post-Graduate Work Permits'.

This seminar provides foundational knowledge on Temporary Resident processing, Study Permits, and situations permitting work under Co-op and Post-Graduate Work Permit categories. In addition, the session offers practical guidance on when and how to submit Access to Information Requests in both case-specific and issue-related contexts.

The seminar features two experienced presenters who provide practical insights on the following topics:

  • Patricia Mendes, RISIA – Study Permits, including the new Document Checklist; Co-Op and Post-Graduate Work Permits

  • Ankita Goyal, RCIC-IRB – Access to Information Requests: Case-Specific and Issue-Related Applications—When and How to Apply; and Temporary Resident Processing

Each presentation concludes with a dedicated Question-and-Answer session.

Ankita Goyal

Access to Information Requests and Temporary Resident Processing

Ankita is a dynamic and accomplished RCIC-IRB with much knowledge in immigration law and policies. Holding a master's degree in computer science, a master's degree in Entrepreneurship (Valedictorian) from Panjab University, and a Certificate in Immigration: Law, Policies, and Procedures (Valedictorian) from The University of British Columbia, Ankita has demonstrated an exceptional level of expertise and dedication to the field of immigration law.

Ankita serves as the Managing Director of Immigracia Visa Consulting Inc. Her commitment to excellence, passion for assisting individuals and families in achieving their immigration goals, and her adeptness in analyzing complex legal and regulatory matters, combined with a profound understanding of the intricacies of the immigration process, make her an invaluable asset to her clients.

As a member of the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC), she is also licensed to appear and represent before the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB), is a Commissioner for Taking Affidavits in British Columbia, and a licensed immigration consultant for the Province of Saskatchewan, Ankita’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is evident in every facet of her work. She is dedicated to advancing the rights and interests of all members of the immigration community.

Patricia Raimundo is a Licensed Immigration Consultant (RISIA) with over five years of experience helping international students navigate both academic and immigration pathways.

She began her career in 2020 at an immigration consultancy and joined a respected school in Toronto in 2021, where she discovered her passion for supporting students and institutions alike. Since obtaining her RISIA license in 2023, Patricia has expanded her expertise with the University of Niagara Falls Canada, developing practical strategies to guide students toward success.
